Fallout Xbox One Controller Available During “Great War” Sale

What some will consider the game of the year is so close. What better way is there for Bethesda to ride the hype train, then to have a sale on their store and sucker in those who will buy anything Fallout related.

Bethesda are having a week long sale that started yesterday. The sale has 20% off items old and new. There are also going to be new Fallout merchandise introduced during the following week.

Saying that, there is a pretty nice Xbox One Controller.

The controller sports a very nice blue and gold colour scheme. Also a picture of a vault boy on the right side. The D-Pad has insignias. There also happens to be a button tucked next to the right analog stick. There are discussions on whether this is an official Microsoft controller or a third party one. For one, the headset adapter is now missing and has been replaced with a headphone jack. Secondly, the insignias on the D-Pad look to be audio settings. The left button could be for game audio, the right button is the same as the party and friends symbol on the dashboard and the up and down are for volume control. The button next to the right analog stick could be a mute button. Finally, this controller is apparently wired.

Could this be a possible feature of future first part controllers? Personally, I really like it and wouldn’t mind owning one. Trying to get that blocky adapter into the controller is frustrating and takes a couple of tries. The only problem I see is that people will get annoyed that it is wired. For those who are a couple meters away from their TV’s (not at two feet like me) then it may put a restriction on their movement. Maybe it needs to be plugged in to power a headset or… it might just come with a wire for charging? Until the listing for the controller goes up, the details will be listed.

Speaking of details, this controller goes on sale the same day that this was posted and is only available in 5000 units, so get there quick. There is no price announced yet but once it goes live there will be. For now I would guess around the sixty pound mark.

Fallout-4-Messanger-BagJoining the store this week is a Vault-Tec watch, a Pip Boy messenger bag, a limited edition art book that comes with Lithographs (nice one at that) A lot of these items are available in limited quantities, so if you want something then you better act fast.

Will you be getting any swag this week?
