Activision Put Black Ops 3 In A Campaigntration Camp

Support for last-gen is finally over?

Activision announced that last-gen versions of the upcoming Black Ops 3 will NOT have a campaign. It will just feature multiplayer and Zombies. Activision had this to say about  it.

“The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player co-op Campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware.”

If you can play the campaign solo, why couldn’t that be ported over?

I think this is a step in the right direction for gaming, because it means that all time and resources can be spent on current gen versions. I have said before that I believe last gen game development is coming to an end, when publisher giants such as Activision – who are known for their money grabbing, stop developing then that is a pretty good sign that all the other publishers will stop.

With the campaign being cut, people would expect a price cut too. There isn’t really, It is a full price game on Last – gen prices. Utter Bollocks. Activision are not losing any money on this game. Assuming that there will be DLC Packs for the multiplayer and Zombies side, then they will be making the same amount as normal.

Overall, I think this is a major joke. Make a full game or not one at all. I think this is completely spitting in consumers faces. It should be a £25 game. On the other hand, this could act as an incentive to upgrade to current – gen. Preferably, the PS4 that way Activision get a cut, they earn more money from the extra price of the game, plus the cash flow would be better because Activision have the DLC timed exclusive deal with Sony that they used to have with Microsoft.
